God gave answers to being saved

In a Gazette article published June 28, titled "Religious response: My faith not only way," 35,000 people responded to the question of whether they thought their faith was the only faith that leads to heaven.

According to the results of the survey, 70 percent of the people thought many faiths lead to heaven.

I've got a couple of thoughts for us all to consider about the survey and the survey question.

First, it is much easier to go with the flow of the tide than against the tide. There is no doubt that it is easier for people to believe that, no matter what our beliefs are, we all get to go to heaven.

God's word remains true over centuries
These are the words of Jesus, said to his father, God, in a verbal prayer with the apostles present: "Thy Word is Truth" (John 17:17).

Was Jesus saying that just one word, "Thy Word" that God spoke is truth? Or did Jesus say only the words God spoke directly from heaven were the truth?

If you read the Scriptures, the answer to both of the questions is "no."
