Welcome to the Billings Church of Christ! We want you to feel comfortable when you visit us. This page tells you what you can generally expect when you join us.
You will be greeted at the door when you enter. These greeters will help you with any needs you might have. You will enter what we refer to as the “auditorium,” where you will find a place to sit. There are no reserved seats. Feel free to sit anywhere.
One of the unique things about the Billings Church of Christ is that the music is ‘a cappella;’ that is, we sing without the use of musical instruments. We love the beauty and joy of worshipping God from our hearts with our voices. We believe you will find the singing meaningful and uplifting, with everyone being invited to participate.
Other Aspects of Worship
When you honor us with a visit you will hear spoken prayers and a lesson from God’s Word. We believe in the power of prayer and God’s Word, so these aspects will take up a considerable amount of our worship time. The lesson is normally 20-30 minutes long. We hope you find it refreshingly Bible-centered and applicable to your life.
The Lord’s Supper will also be included in our worship time. During this time, trays of unleavened bread (symbolizing the body of Jesus) and cups of grape juice (symbolizing the blood of Jesus) will be passed throughout the auditorium. You do not have to participate in this celebration of what Jesus did for us on the cross. You are welcome to just pass the trays to the next person.
Trays will also be passed to collect a weekly financial offering. As our guest, you are not expected to make a donation.
At the close of our time together, if you need help or would like the prayers of the congregation, you can let us know by talking to our preacher or one of the elders.
What is Expected of You?
We hope that you will participate in the worship service. But don’t feel obligated. Just observe if that is your choice.
Also, if you would, when you visit, fill out the visitor card to make us aware of your visit. This simply provides information so that we can write, call or e-mail to thank you for your visit.
